I am pleased to introduce myself, Pooja Thakar (Female), Lecturer(Information Technology) for Masters Students (age 21-25), associatedwith IT Dept. of Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies. I amalso working as the coordinator of cultural exchange programs.
We are a part of Rukmini Devi Group of Institutions in the NationalCapital Territory of Delhi, India that aims at providing its studentsand staff an opportunity to enrich their international understandingand awareness of sharing common values and make them better citizensof the Global Village. We continuously motivate our students toconnect with the Schools/Institutes/Universities abroad such thatthey can express & discuss their ideas, exercises and opinions withotherfellow students. Our Sister Organization, Rukmini Devi Public School,a senior secondary school is already involved in cultural exchangewith many countries like Germany, France, UK, Italy. Many Snail MailPrograms, E-Pals and Collaborative Projects are also running withnearly 60 countries worldwide.
We are looking for students from different countries for a culturalexchange program with the Students of Rukmini Devi Institute ofAdvanced Studies (Students age group 21-25, pursuing Masters Degreein Computer Science/ Business Administration).
Our concept of cultural exchange programme is
"Duration: Approx. 2 weeks" Hosting: Students being hosted by families i.e. each partnerstudent is hosted by an Indian student and the same is followed whentheyvisit abroad. We follow this so that the students can really becomeand feel part of the family. They feel at home in the new country andtend to learn faster about new cultures, as families are rich sourcesof first hand information.
" Attending Classes: Students will attend variousInstitute's/University's activities/workshops/ class room sessions orthey can work on a Theme based project. Theme can be decided as percommon interest of students from both countries." Visits: Students will be visiting the interesting and meaningfulplaces.Before the exchange gets materialized, we generally interact eitherthrough physical meeting or through emails to finalize things likenumber of students involved in exchange, their age groups, hostingtime, sending time, trips and activities involved, etc.Kindly let us know your interest in this activity.This exchange can be a great learning experience for all involved.
