YEAR 2008 MTSF PROGRAMME
(1) SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARD
(2) SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH GRANT

The Malaysia Toray Science Foundation will be offering the Science & Technology Award and Science & Technology Research Grant for year 2008 as follows:
(1) maximum two (2) Science & Technology Awards of RM30,000.00 and a certificate each; and
(2) five (5) to ten (10) Science & Technology Research Grants each ranging from RM30,000.00
to RM60,000.00. The total amount of grants is around RM300,000.00.
The Science & Technology Award is meant to recognise Malaysian scientists with outstanding achievements in their fields of research. The Science & Technology Research Grant is meant to provide financial assistance to deserving young Malaysian scientists to support their basic research in their related fields. The candidates for the Award will have to be nominated and the Grant applicants recommended by the representative of a science institution or a university.
Malaysian Scientists and Researchers currently residing in Malaysia are invited to apply for the above awards and grants.

Applicants from University of Malaya must submit their applications through their respective Heads of PTj to the Director's Office IPPP not later than 21 May 2008.
