This message is intented for final year undergraduates andpostgraduates of the Engineering Faculty.
The AUN/SEED-Net Project with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provides scholarships to highly qualified youngteaching staffand graduating students/young graduates of Member Institutions in thefollowinglisted degrees.
Please note that it is not a compulsory commitment/requirementthat successful applicants work as teaching staff of the universityuponcompletion.
The THREE (3) scholarship offers are as follows:
1.Master s Degree Program (extended deadline: Feb 29, 2008) ============================================================
To pursue Master s degrees in the following nine engineering fieldsatrespective Host Institutions in other countries:
- Chemical Engineering at De La Salle University (DLSU)
- Civil Engineering at Chulalongkorn University (CU)
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Chulalongkorn University(CU)
- Environmental Engineering at University of Philippines-Diliman (UP)
- Geological Engineering at Gadjah Mada University (UGM)
- Information and Communication Technology at King Mongkut sInstitute ofTechnology, Ladkrabang (KMITL)
- Manufacturing Engineering at University of Malaya (UM)
- Materials Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)
- Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Institute of TechnologyBandung(ITB).
2. Doctoral Sandwich Program (extended deadline: Feb 29, 2008) ==============================================================
To pursue doctoral degrees in the nine fields at respective HostInstitutionsas listed above in (1). During the three years of scholarships,students areeligible to make Short-Term Study in Japan once or twice for a totaldurationof eight (8) months maximum on condition that one of the two timesmust be lessthan one month.
3. Doctoral Degree Program in Singapore (extended deadline: Feb 29,2008)=======================================================================
Pursue direct doctoral degrees in engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Theminimumrequirement for admission is a bachelor's degree with honours (atleast 2ndClass Upper) or its equivalent. Bachelor-degree-holding applicantswho fulfilthe admission criteria will be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D.program.
