The Project’s Aim: Primary (UPSR) examination year school students in estates will
participate in academic and non-academic programs through BHARANI PROJECT 2008.
Parents would be having a sharing section with MMU Facilitators of this project.
MMU students will involve directly and indirectly in order to make this event a
grand success. Children and youth from estate will be exposed to UNIVERSITY
ENVIROMENT, plus various educational and social activities will be acknowledged.
Venue/ Location of the project: SJK (T) Ladang Kawang, Ladang Sungai Kawang, 28500 Lanchang, Pahang Darul Makmur
- PARTICIPANTS:
· Indian Cultural Society (ICS) and Multimedia University (MMU) organizer and co-organizer for the whole event.
· Organizing Committee. With the leading team of Welfare Bureau of ICS and involvement of ICS members.
· MMU and Students of SRJK (T) Ladang Kawang school. - OBJECTIVES
- Bharani Project is a social welfare project.
- It reflects the contribution of MMU students especially ICS members towards helping the community in the rural areas.
- Build good inter-relationship among Multimedia University students with community in rural areas.
- Conduct leadership and motivation programs to aid the students in estate schools for a better future.
- To support estate’s community and to have a better understanding of their culture and needs.
- This project would give MMU students an opportunity to utilize their leisure time with useful activities that enriches social responsibility towards the development of the community.
- Generates civic awareness to MMU students of the important in helping those who are living in isolated and rural areas. Exposes student to the importance of "nation togetherness".
- To encourage and motivate the parents about the importance of sculpting solid education for the benefit of a brighter future.
- To enhance the importance of higher learning and understanding.
- To implement the spirit of “Can Do” among students living in a rural area
